A bespoke desert landscape mural by Lateefa bint Maktoum, blending UAE wildlife and heritage into a luxury retail environment.
Tasmeem Tashkeel was commissioned by Vacheron Constantin to select an artist, produce, and install a bespoke mural for their showroom at Mall of the Emirates. The commissioned artwork, “Home” (2024), was created by Lateefa bint Maktoum.
“Home” captures a tranquil moment in the Dubai desert, celebrating the intricate beauty and diversity of the UAE’s indigenous wildlife. Falcons, pigeons, and Arabian gazelles coexist in harmony, symbolizing freedom, sustainability, resilience, and adaptability. Ghaf trees frame the scene, representing heritage and endurance, while the rows of palm trees in the background reflect human intervention, emphasizing the delicate balance between nature and civilization.
Tasmeem Tashkeel managed the entire process—from selecting the artist to producing and installing the mural—ensuring the artwork was seamlessly integrated into the showroom environment. The installation transforms the space into an immersive artistic experience, honoring the UAE’s natural heritage, cultural identity, and the artist’s vision.
This project highlights Tasmeem Tashkeel’s expertise in commissioning, producing, and delivering contemporary Emirati art for luxury retail environments.
